Definitions that avoid ambiguous interpretations in our restoration services.
| Antique Wood | What is considered antique wood? Antique wood is understood as any piece over eighty years old, sourced from demolitions, renovations, or historic buildings. It does not include new wood treated to appear aged. |
| Restoration | What does a restoration cover? Restoration includes cleaning, structural consolidation, reintegration of missing parts, and protective finishing. It does not include design modifications or expansions, unless agreed upon in writing. |
| Budget | Is the budget binding? The provided budget is valid for fifteen business days. Any change in scope, material condition, or access conditions may alter the final value. |
| Materials | Who supplies the materials? Unless otherwise agreed, restoration materials (resins, oils, varnishes) are supplied by our studio. Replacement wood is quoted separately based on availability. |
| Warranty | What does the warranty cover? The warranty covers execution defects for a period of twelve months. It does not cover subsequent moisture damage, impacts, insects, or modifications made by third parties. |
| Intellectual Property | Who owns the design rights? The designs and techniques developed during the project are owned by Agedcarebydesign. The client may use the documentation for maintenance purposes but may not replicate the methods without authorization. |
