Terms of Use

Conditions governing access to and use of Agedcarebydesign services for the restoration and conservation of antique wood.

Purpose and Acceptance

This document establishes the terms and conditions under which Agedcarebydesign (hereinafter, "the Studio") offers its restoration, conservation, and design services with aged wood to construction companies, architecture firms, and luxury project developers. By accessing this B2B platform and requesting our services, you fully accept these conditions.

The Studio reserves the right to modify these terms at any time, notifying changes at least fifteen days in advance through registered contact channels. Continued use of the services after the modifications come into effect implies acceptance of the new conditions.

Services and Responsibilities of the Studio

Agedcarebydesign commits to executing restoration and conservation work on antique wood in accordance with the technical specifications agreed upon for each project, using traditional materials and methods compatible with heritage preservation. Each intervention is documented through detailed technical sheets describing the initial condition, applied treatments, and maintenance recommendations.

The Studio guarantees that all personnel involved have the necessary training and experience in structural consolidation techniques, ornament cleaning, and reintegration of historical pieces. However, specific results may vary depending on the prior conservation state of the materials, the age of the pieces, and the environmental conditions of the installation site.

  • Execution timelines are agreed upon in writing at the start of each project and are subject to material availability and climatic conditions that may affect treatments.
  • The Studio is not responsible for damages arising from prior interventions not declared by the client or from hidden defects in the wood that are not detectable through visual inspection and standard non-destructive testing.
  • Color and texture samples presented in the digital portfolio are for reference only; the final finish may differ slightly due to the unique nature of each piece of antique wood.

Client Obligations

The client commits to providing truthful and complete information about the condition of the materials to be worked on, including any prior chemical or structural treatments of which they are aware. Likewise, they must facilitate safe access to the worksites and comply with applicable local safety and hygiene regulations.

If the client supplies wood or materials for integration into the project, these must meet the technical specifications indicated by the Studio. The client assumes responsibility for the quality and origin of such materials.

Intellectual Property and Confidentiality

All technical reports, conservation sheets, intervention plans, process photographs, and documentation generated during the project are the intellectual property of the Studio, unless otherwise agreed in writing. The client receives a usage license for maintenance and promotion purposes of their property but may not reproduce or distribute such documents for commercial purposes without express authorization.

The parties commit to maintaining the confidentiality of all technical, commercial, and financial information exchanged during the contractual relationship, even after the project's completion. This obligation does not apply to information that is in the public domain or must be disclosed by legal requirement.

Limitation of Liability

The total liability of the Studio for any claim arising from the services provided is limited to the value of the corresponding contract. Under no circumstances shall Agedcarebydesign be liable for indirect damages, loss of profits, business interruption, or property damages that exceed the scope of the contracted work.

The Studio does not guarantee the immunity of treated wood against biological agents or extreme environmental conditions if the recommended maintenance guidelines in the technical sheet delivered at the end of each project are not followed. Warranties on the materials and treatments applied expire twelve months after the completion of the work, unless a different period has been agreed upon in writing.

Termination and Suspension

Either party may terminate the contract for material breach of obligations, upon written notice with a minimum of thirty days. In the event of termination, the client shall pay for the work actually performed up to that date, plus materials already acquired and non-consumable.

The Studio reserves the right to suspend the provision of services if the client fails to meet agreed payments or if site conditions pose a risk to the integrity of the restorers or the heritage to be intervened.

Applicable Law and Contact

These terms are governed by the legislation of the Argentine Republic. For any dispute arising from their interpretation or execution, the parties submit to the ordinary courts of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, expressly waiving any other jurisdiction that may apply.
